If you’re in the Carolina’s and ready for new job skills, then the Mike Minter Workforce Development Program (MMWDP) is ready to get you started! The Mike Minter WDP was designed by APSI’s Executive Leadership to impact communities throughout North and South Carolina by offering high-demand work ready training programs to unemployed, dislocated, under-employed and military veterans. Students enrolled in the Mike Minter WDP can attend classes at one of our convenient training locations to can get certified and employed quickly.
APSI and Mike Minter
Through APSI’s Workforce Development Program, this former Carolina Panther of the National Football League has lent his efforts, through Minter Consulting, to continue to give back to his local community of the Carolinas. As a result, the Mike Minter WDP made its mark through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA). APSI’s Mike Minter WDP was highlighted over the summer by training and certifying 80 students, many of whom have gone on to internships and job offers with some of the biggest names in the industry such as Time Warner, GTI, Network Cabling Systems, JMI and AT&T.
The Mike Minter WDP Partners
The Mike Minter WDP has partnered with academic institutions, Workforce Development Boards and community leaders to deliver “work ready” training as part of a certificate program. Each Mike Minter WDP Course includes certification in a high-demand industry and includes non-degree continued education credits and globally recognized credentials. The Mike Minter WDP is designed to offer low-cost training programs that lead to jobs!
Many of our students may qualify for funding through government grants and the Workforce Investment Act (WIA). This means that you could qualify for training through the Mike Minter WDP at “NO COST TO YOU”!
How do you get involved?
Eligible participants should check with your local ESC or One Stop Counselor to confirm your eligibility for training benefits. Once yo have been approved for WIA funding, the ESC/One Stop Counselor will contact APSI for enrollment.
