APSI’s Community Development Resource Group (CDRG) is driven by the passion to impact the community by creating a positive and stable environment through vocational training, confidence-building and employment opportunities.

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

CDRG is interested in the overall economic development of the communities we serve.  Our programs include financial literacy, employment and personal development.  These programs are made possible through collaborations made with industry experts around the United States.  Strategies for the success of the Community Development Resource Group include:

Resource Development

Research conducted through local and national databases to indentify opportunities for collaboration.  All potential resources will be identified during the resource development process

Strategic Alliances

Partnerships and collaborations with national and local organizations allow CDRG to offer world class programs to communities all over the country. APSI’s CDRG has over 20 years of experience working with commercial and government agencies delivering successful programs providing hope to individuals in need.  Many of these partnerships have been with organizations such as:

  • Educational Institutions (College & Universities)
  • Non Profits
  • Faith Based Organizations
  • Law Enforcements
  • Vocational Rehabilitation
  • Employment /Labor Agencies
  • Councils & Small Group Associations

WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS

CDRG has the ability to deliver workforce development programs such as its Mike Minter Workforce Development Program (MMWDP) and the APSI Alternative Energy Program.  The MMWDP a technology based program that focus on the high-demand occupations in Broadband Fiber Optics and Broadband Networking. Through its partnerships and affiliations with academic organizations, APSI offers a Energy Program through the CDRG for individuals who are interested in breaking in to the “green” job arena.  All of our CDRG training programs offer accredited certifications that are recognized nationally by employers.


MISSION, VISION & GOALS


CDRG will identify and establish partnerships with for profit and nonprofit organizations to impact change in American communities.  APSI will utilize the CDRG to aid in local job training programs and community economic development.

The Mission of the CDRG is to educate and prepare Americans with skills to have success in new, high-demand job markets.  Through effective collaborations, strategic alliances and creative asset leveraging, our goal is to provide a holistic approach to community development using:

  • Vocational training
  • Employment, Life & Financial skills
  • Internships for youth and adults
  • Offer employment opportunities

The Goal of the CDRG is to raise capital for its partners to provide these community programs to at risk youth, unemployed, underemployed, military veterans and dislocated workers.

Our total focus will be on building relationships and identifying resources to offer youth and adult programs to increase their employment, earnings, occupational skill attainment and retention.
